According to a Mehr reporter, Hadi Haghshenas, in a telephone interview with the Baran Channel's News 20 on Thursday evening, referring to the weather warning and a 12-degree drop in temperature, stated: "Special arrangements and readiness of service and relief agencies have been considered in light of the upcoming weather conditions in Gilan."

The Governor of Gilan announced the readiness of all service providers in this regard and stated: "Due to special weather conditions, the leave of all managers has been canceled."

Haghshenas reported more than 140 millimeters of rain in Astara and added: "Based on meteorological findings, rainfall in some cities in Gilan will reach more than 100 millimeters."

According to him, as the cold weather continues, snowfall will reach 40 centimeters on Saturday and Sunday at the entrances to Gilan, especially the Amanzadeh Hashem route.

The Governor of Gilan stated that according to the weather forecast, snowfall and rain will increase in the province on Saturday and Sunday, and advised travelers not to travel to Gilan during this time period.

Referring to the closure of the Punel to Khalkhal route, Haghshenas said: "If the cold and snowy weather intensifies, the Asalem to Khalkhal route will be closed, and therefore we recommend and emphasize that entry and exit to Gilan should not be made on Saturdays and Sundays."
